Meet our sugar glider breeding pairs and trios!

Breeding sugar gliders live together in small colonies–usually pairs, but sometimes trios consisting of one male and twin sisters.  Currently Colorado Sugar Gliders has 3 breeding trios and 12 breeding pairs.

We have many colors and varieties of sugar gliders.  Most pairs can produce standard gray joeys since this is the most common type.  Almost all of our pairs/trios consist of at least one mosaic glider (piebalds are a type of mosaic) so they can all produce varying types of mosaics as well because mosaicism is a dominant trait.  Certain genes (such as leucism) are recessive, so both parents have to be carriers of the gene in order to pass it on. If a glider pair carries genetics that are not present in their appearance, these hets will be listed with that specific sugar glider’s color.

If you are curious about a certain color/pattern, please send us a message and we will try to answer any questions for you.
