Cremino

Cremino--$800-$1000

Cremino sugar gliders are white to cream in color with dorsal stripes and tail tips that are light yellow to strawberry color.  They also have dark red eyes.  They are referred to as garnet eyes and really look more black than red except in the light.  Cremino is a recessive trait, so both parents have to carry the gene to produce offspring that are cremino.  Having one cremino parent will always result in the offspring having 100% cremino het (meaning they 100% carry the cremino gene), but it will not result in cremino offspring unless the other parent is also cremino, or has 100% cremino hets.  The typical pairing, if desiring to produce cremino offspring is visual cremino x 100% cremino het.  This pairing will hypothetically result in 50% of the offspring being cremino and 50% being not visually cremino but having 100% cremino hets.  In some places, like Europe, where the glider gene pool is still very small, it is not recommended to pair visual cremino x visual cremino (visual recessive x visual recessive) because it can get the gene pool locked in.  However, our gene pool has grown enough that it is becoming more common practice to pair cremino x cremino so long as they have a very low coefficient of inbreeding.  Cremino x cremino parents will only produce cremino offspring. Creminos can also be paired with other gliders, such as mosaic (assuming the mosaic has cremino hets) to produce mosaic creminos.
