Leucistic

Leucistic--$800-$1000

Leucistic sugar gliders are pure white with black eyes.  Leucistic is a recessive trait, so both parents have to carry the gene to produce offspring that are leucistic.  Having one leucistic parent will always result in the offspring having 100% leucistic het (meaning they 100% carry the leucistic gene), but it will not result in leucistic offspring unless the other parent is also leucistic, or has 100% leucistic hets.  The typical pairing, if desiring to produce leucistic offspring is visual leucistic  x 100% leucistic het.  This pairing will hypothetically result in 50% of the offspring being leucistic and 50% being not visually leucistic but having 100% leucistic hets.  Leucistic x leucistic parents will only produce leucistic offspring. Leucistics can also be paired with other gliders, such as mosaic (assuming the mosaic has leucistic hets) to produce mosaic leucistics, known as mosistics.  Sometimes mosaic gliders can be so light colored that they appear leucistic.  We would call them white mosaics.  Often they may develop a light shadowing or have a couple dark hairs, but not always.
